Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Senior Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. You will work closely with the maintenance team to identify and resolve technical issues, and implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts and equipment
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical problems with industrial equipment and machinery
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and prioritize maintenance tasks and projects
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior maintenance technicians and other staff members
• Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and maintain a safe working environment for all staff members

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
• Proven knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff members at all levels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity
• Certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is an asset, such as a certificate from the Ethiopian Ministry of Education or a recognized vocational training institution
