Senior Electromechanical Engineer/ Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electromechanical Engineer/ Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electromechanical systems, including electrical and mechanical components. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electromechanical systems, including electrical and mechanical components
• Conduct site visits to inspect and troubleshoot electromechanical systems and equipment
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance
• Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and technicians
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in electromechanical engineering, with a focus on design, development, and maintenance of electromechanical systems
• Proven knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles, including circuit analysis, microcontrollers, and mechanical design
• Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in English and Amharic, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Certification in electromechanical engineering or a related field is an asset
• Membership in a professional organization, such as the Ethiopian Association of Engineers, is an asset
