Job Title: Fireman

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and courageous Fireman to join our emergency response team. As a Fireman, you will be responsible for responding to fires, rescuing people, and providing emergency medical services. You will work closely with other firefighters and emergency responders to ensure the safety of our community. Key Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls, including fires, rescues, and medical emergencies
• Operate firefighting equipment, such as hoses, ladders, and extinguishers
• Participate in firefighting operations, including search and rescue, ventilation, and fire suppression
• Provide emergency medical services, including first aid and basic life support
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of firefighting equipment and vehicles
• Participate in training exercises and drills to maintain and improve skills
• Collaborate with other emergency responders, such as police and ambulance personnel

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Firefighting or a related field from a recognized institution in Ethiopia
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a firefighter or in a related field
• Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure
• Knowledge of Ethiopian firefighting regulations and standards
• Certificate in First Aid and Basic Life Support from a recognized institution in Ethiopia
