Assistant Technician

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and other technical systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and hands-on individual to contribute to the smooth operation of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
• Conduct basic troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify technical issues
• Perform minor repairs and replacements of parts and components
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of technical activities

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in a relevant technical field (e.g. electrical, mechanical, or electronics engineering) from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a related industry
• Basic knowledge of technical principles and practices, including safety protocols and regulations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively with colleagues and supervisors
• Physical ability to lift and move equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
