Scrap Processing Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain scrap processing machines, including shears, balers, and shredders
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machines and replacing worn parts
• Monitor machine performance and report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team
• Ensure a safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines
• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and achieve quality standards
• Perform quality control checks on processed materials to ensure they meet customer requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field, such as mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related technical field from a recognized Ethiopian institution
• At least 2 years of experience operating and maintaining scrap processing machinery or similar equipment
• Knowledge of machine operation, maintenance, and repair principles
• Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines for operating heavy machinery
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members
• Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms and stand for long periods
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required
