Junior IT Technician

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Technician to join our team. As a Junior IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our computer systems, networks, and software applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with basic IT experience to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and network systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with computer systems, networks, and software applications
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on computer systems, software applications, and network usage
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, updates, and virus scans
• Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement new technology solutions and projects
• Document technical issues and solutions for future reference

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Basic understanding of network protocols and architectures
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA are an asset
• 0-2 years of experience in a related field, recent graduates are encouraged to apply
