Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical Technician

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and machinery. Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and machinery
• Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and systems are functioning efficiently and effectively
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to optimize equipment performance
• Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other staff members

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical circuits
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment and software
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment
• TVET or vocational training in a related field will be an added advantage
