Job Title: Production Head

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Production Head to oversee and manage our production operations in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality products, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. The Production Head will lead a team of production staff and work closely with other departments to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production strategies and plans to achieve business objectives
• Oversee and manage production operations, including planning, scheduling, and quality control
• Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities
• Conduct regular production meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and set priorities
• Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain, to ensure effective production operations
• Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Analyze production data and make recommendations for improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Proven track record of achieving production targets and improving efficiency
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and managing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with ability to communicate effectively in both languages
