Job Purpose
The Surveyor assists in carrying out surveying and measurement activities for construction, land development, engineering, and infrastructure projects. The role involves supporting field data collection, operating surveying equipment, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate measurements under the guidance of senior survey personnel.
Job Summary

Reports To: Senior Surveyor
Duty Station: Addis Ababa Head Office

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in conducting land, topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.
Operate surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, levels, and other measuring equipment.
Collect, record, and process survey data accurately and efficiently.
Assist in preparing survey drawings, maps, reports, and technical documents.
Support the setup, calibration, maintenance, and storage of survey equipment.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project teams during site activities.
Ensure survey activities comply with project specifications and safety standards.
Maintain proper documentation of field notes, survey records, and measurements.
Report discrepancies, technical issues, or site challenges to the Senior Surveyor.
Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors.
About You
Job Specification
Educational Qualifications
Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
Professional Experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
Core Professional Skills
Basic understanding of surveying methods, measurements, and field procedures.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS software, or related applications is an advantage.
Ability to operate surveying instruments and equipment effectively.
