TOR for Consultancy Service: External Expert for Reviewing an Assessment Report on the ACSO Legal and Regulatory Practice

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced External Expert to review an assessment report on the ACSO Legal and Regulatory Practice. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks in Ethiopia, with a proven track record of providing high-quality consultancy services. The expert will be responsible for reviewing the assessment report, identifying areas of improvement, and providing recommendations for strengthening the ACSO legal and regulatory practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the assessment report on the ACSO Legal and Regulatory Practice and provide a comprehensive analysis of the findings and recommendations.
• Identify areas of improvement and provide suggestions for strengthening the ACSO legal and regulatory practice.
• Conduct a thorough review of the existing legal and regulatory frameworks in Ethiopia and provide recommendations for alignment with international best practices.
• Provide a detailed report of the review, including recommendations for implementation and suggestions for future improvements.
• Present the findings and recommendations to the relevant stakeholders and respond to any questions or comments.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Law, Public Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian or international university.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal and regulatory practice, with a focus on Ethiopian law and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record of providing high-quality consultancy services, with a strong understanding of assessment and evaluation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and recommendations effectively.
• Strong understanding of the Ethiopian legal and regulatory context, with knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
