Job Title: Team Leader – Fleet

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Leader – Fleet to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of our fleet operations, ensuring the efficient and safe transportation of goods and personnel. The Team Leader – Fleet will lead a team of fleet coordinators and drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the fleet. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and route optimization
• Lead a team of fleet coordinators and drivers, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the fleet
• Develop and implement strategies to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
• Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with regulatory requirements
• Manage the maintenance and repair of vehicles, including scheduling and coordinating with external service providers
• Analyze data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement, making recommendations to senior management as needed
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to fleet operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Logistics, Transportation, or Business Administration, from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fleet management or a related field, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
• Proven knowledge of fleet management principles, practices, and regulations, including those related to vehicle maintenance, safety, and environmental sustainability
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of fleet coordinators and drivers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with fleet management software and systems
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
