Brief Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Ethiopia. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop construction projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure
- Conduct site investigations and analyze data to determine the best course of action for projects
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Inspect and test construction materials and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and technicians
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards associated with construction projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Ethiopian university, such as Addis Ababa University or Bahir Dar University
- Minimum 3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a construction or consulting firm
- Professional certification, such as a license from the Ethiopian Ministry of Construction and Urban Development
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian building codes, standards, and regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering design software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and lead junior engineers and technicians
- Fluency in Amharic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
