Sustainable Supply Manager
Brief Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sustainable Supply Manager to join our team. As a Sustainable Supply Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable supply chain strategies that minimize environmental impact while ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate sustainability risks, develop sustainable procurement practices, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable supply chain strategies that align with the company’s overall business objectives and values
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify areas of improvement in supply chain operations and develop corrective action plans
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop and implement sustainable practices, such as reducing energy consumption, waste, and water usage
- Develop and manage sustainable procurement practices, including sourcing materials from environmentally responsible suppliers
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable supply chain metrics and benchmarks
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to sustainable supply chain management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Environmental Science, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility
- Proven track record of developing and implementing sustainable supply chain strategies that drive business value and minimize environmental impact
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights
- Certifications in supply chain management, such as CSCP or CLTD, are an added advantage
- Fluency in English and Amharic is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an added advantage
