Sr. People Ops Team Lead

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. People Ops Team Lead to oversee our People Operations function at Beleqet Jobs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing people-related processes and programs that drive business growth, employee engagement, and a positive company culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive people operations strategies, processes, and programs that align with the company’s overall business objectives
  • Lead and manage a team of people operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success and growth
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to design and implement initiatives that drive employee engagement, retention, and overall well-being
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits, compensation, and performance management programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Analyze people-related metrics and data to inform business decisions, identify areas for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of people operations initiatives
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external partners, such as HR vendors and consultants, to support people operations functions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university (e.g., Addis Ababa University, Bahir Dar University)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in people operations, human resources, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
  • Professional certification in human resources, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, is an asset
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing people operations strategies, processes, and programs that drive business growth and employee engagement
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, leadership, and external partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze people-related metrics and data to inform business decisions
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, including the Ethiopian Labor Proclamation and the Ethiopian Employment Exchange Service Proclamation
