Job Title: HR Supervisor

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Supervisor to join our team. As an HR Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the human resources department, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and implementing effective recruitment and retention strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the HR team, including recruitment, training, and employee relations
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Manage employee data, including personnel files, payroll, and benefits administration
  • Conduct investigations and resolve employee complaints and grievances
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics, including turnover rates, time-to-hire, and employee satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 3 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, including the Labor Proclamation and the Civil Service Proclamation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with HR management software
  • Certificate in human resources, such as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), is an advantage
