We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Tendering & Estimation professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the tendering and estimation process, ensuring that all tenders are submitted on time, and that the company’s commercial interests are protected and enhanced. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the tendering process, including reviewing and analyzing tender documents, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing winning strategies.
  • Prepare and submit tenders, including estimating costs, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to gather market intelligence and stay informed about upcoming tender opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and technical teams, to ensure that tenders are properly resourced and aligned with company capabilities and goals.
  • Analyze and evaluate tender results, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to the tendering process as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, as well as industry trends and competitor activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying, from a recognized Ethiopian university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering and estimation, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proven track record of success in winning tenders and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Ethiopian construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with tendering software and systems.
  • Professional certification, such as a chartered engineer or certified estimator, is an advantage.
