Job Title: Senior Planning & Monitoring Officer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Planning & Monitoring Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing planning and monitoring frameworks to ensure the effective execution of our organization’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive planning and monitoring frameworks to track progress towards organizational goals and objectives
• Collaborate with senior management to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies to achieve them
• Design and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to assess program effectiveness and impact
• Conduct regular data analysis and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making
• Develop and manage budgets for planning and monitoring activities
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff on planning and monitoring best practices
• Represent the organization in external meetings and forums related to planning and monitoring

Requirements

• MSc degree in Economics, Statistics, Project Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in planning and monitoring, preferably in a similar organization or industry
• Proven track record of developing and implementing effective planning and monitoring frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex data and provide insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with data analysis software
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage
• Certification in project management (e.g. PMP) or monitoring and evaluation (e.g. M&E) is an added advantage
