Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Governance & Compliance

Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and financial governance standards
Maintain strong internal controls within finance and business analysis functions
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports
Analyze financial statements, identify trends, risks, and variances
Provide cost reports to Heads of Departments (HODs)
Support business decision-making through financial insights
Coordinate inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies with warehouse and accounting teams
3. Cost Control & Budget Management

Monitor and control costs across departments
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Analyze consumption of reagents and production materials
Ensure proper cost allocation to cost centers
4. Contract & Operational Cost Management

Monitor contractor costs, man-hours, and supplier invoices
Track cost variations and ensure accurate reporting
Support financial control of contract execution
5. Metal Accounting

Maintain and reconcile gold production and shipment records
Ensure accuracy in refining and royalty calculations
6. Month-End & Balance Sheet Processes

Perform balance sheet reconciliations
Participate in month-end closing activities
Ensure timely and accurate financial close
7. Planning & Forecasting

Support annual planning cycles and forecasting activities
Conduct financial modeling and improve forecasting accuracy
8. Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members
Foster a high-performance, accountable team culture
9. Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements
Enhance financial reporting systems and tools

About You
Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, CA) is an advantage
Experience

7–10 years of relevant experience in finance, business analysis, or cost control
Experience in mining or heavy industry is preferred
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Key Competencies

Knowledge

Strong understanding of budgeting and cost control
High attention to detail and accuracy
