Job Description

Job Title: Section Head, In House Security

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Section Head, In House Security to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of our organization’s security protocols and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our employees, assets, and facilities. This is a senior-level position that requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and plans to mitigate potential risks and threats
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel, including guards, investigators, and other security staff
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective measures
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to share intelligence and best practices
  • Develop and manage security budgets, including procurement of security equipment and services
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on security procedures and protocols
  • Investigate security incidents and breaches, and implement measures to prevent recurrence

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Criminology, Security Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior security management position, preferably in a similar industry or sector
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective security strategies and plans
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions
  • Familiarity with Ethiopian security laws, regulations, and standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Certification in security management, such as CPP or PSP, is an added advantage
