Senior Banking Business Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Banking Business Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of business strategies to drive growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase revenue in the banking sector. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong understanding of the banking industry, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to drive growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase revenue in the banking sector
• Lead and manage a team of business officers to achieve business objectives and provide coaching and guidance to ensure their success
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and industry partners
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the banking sector
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk, compliance, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of business strategies
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and make data-driven decisions

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Finance, or Economics, from a recognized Ethiopian or international university
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the banking industry, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
• Strong understanding of the Ethiopian banking sector, including regulatory requirements and industry trends
• Proven track record of achieving business objectives and driving growth in the banking sector
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Certifications, such as CFA or CIMA, are an added advantage
