Senior Auditor

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Auditor to join our team. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial reports and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will lead audit engagements, supervise junior auditors, and provide expert advice on audit and risk management matters. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute audit engagements, including risk assessment, audit planning, fieldwork, and report drafting
• Supervise and mentor junior auditors, providing guidance and feedback to help them develop their skills and expertise
• Conduct complex audit tests and procedures, including financial statement analysis, internal control evaluation, and compliance testing
• Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations to management, including proposals for process improvements and risk mitigation strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including management, external auditors, and regulatory bodies
• Stay up-to-date with changes in auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, applying this knowledge to audit engagements and contributing to the development of the audit function

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in auditing, such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA, with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience
• Proven experience in auditing, preferably in a senior role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results and leading audit engagements
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian accounting and auditing standards, as well as regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and communicate complex audit findings and recommendations
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with strong report-writing and presentation skills
