Quantity Surveyor Coordinator (Road Construction)
Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor Coordinator to join our road construction team. As a Quantity Surveyor Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the quantity surveying aspects of road construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the quantity surveying aspects of road construction projects, including measurement, valuation, and cost control.
- Prepare and submit monthly valuation reports to clients and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Conduct site measurements and surveys to verify quantities and ensure accurate recording of project progress.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and discrepancies in project costs, ensuring that any variations are properly documented and approved.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project costs, progress, and other relevant information, using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other specialized tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in road construction projects.
- Professional certification in quantity surveying, such as ECS (Ethiopian Construction Sector) certification, is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, including FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) and other relevant standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, and other specialized tools, including MS Office and project management software.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
