Property Management Officer

Job Description

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Property Management Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our properties, ensuring they are well-maintained, and providing excellent customer service to our tenants. The Property Management Officer will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective property management strategies, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain properties, including handling repairs, maintenance, and renovations
• Develop and implement property management strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs
• Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address any issues
• Manage budgets and prepare financial reports
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including those related to health and safety, employment, and environmental protection

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Real Estate, Business Administration, or Law, from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in property management or a related field
• Knowledge of Ethiopian property laws and regulations, including the Ethiopian Civil Code and the Urban Lands Lease Holding Proclamation
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with tenants, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with experience in property management software an advantage
• Professional certification in property management, such as a Certified Property Manager (CPM) or a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), is an advantage
