Job Title: Process Chemist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, optimization, and implementation of chemical processes to ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality products. The Process Chemist will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality
• Conduct experiments and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and research and development
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards
• Provide technical support and training to production staff on process operations and safety procedures
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures and batch records

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a chemical processing or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of chemical processes, reaction kinetics, and thermodynamics
• Experience with process development, optimization, and scale-up
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with process simulation software and laboratory equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines, with a strong focus on safety and quality
