Job Title: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Engineer (Re-Advertised)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and evaluating projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project plans, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and quality control processes to ensure projects are delivered to the required standards.
• Conduct regular project monitoring and evaluation to identify areas for improvement and ensure projects are on track to meet their objectives.
• Analyze project data and produce reports to stakeholders, including project managers, directors, and external partners.
• Identify and mitigate risks to project delivery, and develop contingency plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement project plans, and provide technical support and guidance on planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to track project progress and performance.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, monitoring, and evaluation, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
• Proven experience in project planning, monitoring, and evaluation, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Professional certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, is an advantage.
