Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs before, during, and after surgery
• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and functional
• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining asepsis
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including surgical procedures, medications, and patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operating room efficiency

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Valid nursing license from the Ethiopian Nursing Council
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in a hospital or surgical center
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, patient assessment, and operating room protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on patient safety and quality care
• Proficiency in English and Amharic, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
