Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye examinations and diagnose eye diseases and disorders
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing surgery
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery
• Stay current with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and incorporate new techniques and technologies into practice
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to ensure exceptional patient care

Requirements

• M.D. degree in Ophthalmology from a recognized Ethiopian medical school or equivalent
• Completed residency program in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution
• Valid license to practice medicine in Ethiopia
• Registration with the Ethiopian Medical Association
• At least 2 years of experience in ophthalmology practice
• Excellent clinical and surgical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
