Job Title: Merchandiser / Sourcing & PO Management

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Merchandiser / Sourcing & PO Management professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire sourcing process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring that products are of high quality, delivered on time, and meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the procurement of high-quality products at competitive prices
• Manage the entire sourcing process, including procurement, shipping, and delivery
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring compliance with company standards
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay up-to-date with industry trends
• Manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure alignment and effective communication
• Analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize sourcing processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Textile Management
• At least 3 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or a related field, preferably in the textile or manufacturing industry
• Proven track record of successful sourcing and procurement, with a strong understanding of supply chain management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and reports
• Familiarity with Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, as well as international trade agreements and standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP systems or other sourcing software
• Fluency in English, with Amharic language skills an added advantage
