Job Description

Duties and responsibilities

Monitoring news outlets, social media platforms, and online discussions to evaluate the organization’s media presence.
Interprets data, identifies trends, and delivers actionable reports to support informed decision-making within the communications team.
Monitor news outlets, social media platforms, blogs, forums, and other online sources to track mentions of the organization, its initiatives, and relevant topics.
Utilize media monitoring tools and software to collect and organize media coverage data effectively.
Analyse media coverage and public sentiment to assess the tone and context of mentions related to the organization.
Categorize media content as positive, negative, or neutral, providing insights into public perception.
Conduct comparative analysis of media coverage, evaluating the organization’s presence in relation to competitors and industry peers.
Identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance media visibility.
Identify emerging trends, themes, and narratives in media coverage related to the organization’s field of interest.
Provide timely reports on trends, allowing the organization to stay ahead of industry developments.
Interpret media data, distilling complex information into clear and concise insights for communication strategy development.
Collaborate with communication teams to integrate media insights into messaging and outreach strategies.
Prepare regular and ad-hoc media monitoring reports, summarizing key findings, trends, and actionable insights.
Deliver reports to relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely dissemination of media analysis results.
Provide recommendations for adapting communication strategies based on media analysis results.
Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of media monitoring data by validating information from diverse sources.
Conduct quality checks on reports before distribution to stakeholders.
Any other duty assigned by the NEBE communications manager
About You
Education and Work Experience:

Master or BA degree in Journalism, Communication, Statistics or any other relevant fields
5 years for Masters or 7 years for BA
Mandatory trainings and certification
