Impact Communications Specialist | Addis Ababa (Readvertised)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Impact Communications Specialist to join our team in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communications strategies to promote our organization’s impact and achievements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to promote our organization’s impact and achievements
• Create engaging content for various media channels, including social media, website, and press releases
• Build and maintain relationships with local media, stakeholders, and partners to secure media coverage and promote our organization’s work
• Collaborate with program teams to develop success stories, case studies, and other communications materials
• Manage and maintain our organization’s website, social media accounts, and other online platforms
• Provide communications support to program teams, including training and capacity building
• Analyze and report on communications metrics to measure the impact and effectiveness of our communications efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably in an international organization or NGO
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Strong understanding of Ethiopian media landscape and experience working with local media
• Proficiency in Amharic is an advantage
• Experience with social media management, content creation, and website maintenance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
