We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Aid Secretary/Cashier to join our team in Gambella Branch. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the legal aid team, manage financial transactions, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the legal aid team, including preparing documents, managing files, and handling correspondence
  • Manage financial transactions, including receiving and issuing payments, maintaining cashbooks, and preparing financial reports
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintain up-to-date financial records
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required, including scanning, photocopying, and binding documents

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Secretarial Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a legal aid or non-profit organization
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in managing cash transactions and maintaining financial records
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and Amharic, with knowledge of local languages an advantage
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity
