Invitation to Individual Consultants to Conduct a Case Study for the LEGO Foundation Childhood Development Activity (CDA) – Oromia Region

Brief Summary

The LEGO Foundation is seeking an individual consultant to conduct a case study for the Childhood Development Activity (CDA) in the Oromia Region. The purpose of this assignment is to document the impact, successes, challenges, and lessons learned from the implementation of the CDA project. The consultant will be responsible for conducting field research, collecting data, and analyzing the findings to produce a comprehensive case study report.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a desk review of existing literature and project documents related to the CDA project in Oromia Region
  • Design a methodology for the case study, including data collection tools and sampling strategies
  • Conduct field research, including interviews, focus group discussions, and observations in the CDA project sites
  • Analyze the data collected and identify key findings, successes, challenges, and lessons learned
  • Produce a comprehensive case study report, including recommendations for future project implementation
  • Present the findings and recommendations to the LEGO Foundation and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Education, Psychology, Sociology, or Development Studies, from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 5 years of experience in conducting research, evaluation, or case studies in the field of childhood development or education
  • Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including data collection and analysis
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key findings and recommendations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with the Ethiopian education system and the Oromia Region context is an advantage
  • Fluency in English and Afan Oromo languages is required
