Job Title: Invitation to Bid (ITB) Specialist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Invitation to Bid (ITB) Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and issuing ITBs for various projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations. The ITB Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all ITBs are properly prepared, issued, and managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue ITBs for various projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and finance, to ensure that all ITBs are properly prepared, issued, and managed.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that all bids are properly received, recorded, and evaluated.
  • Conduct bid evaluations and make recommendations to management for contract awards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all ITBs, including bid documents, evaluation reports, and contract awards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a similar role with a focus on ITBs.
  • Professional certification in procurement, such as CIPS or CPP, is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian procurement laws and regulations, as well as international best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex bid documents and make sound recommendations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
