Job Title: Internal Auditor

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. You will be responsible for conducting audits, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to management to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits of financial statements, accounts, and other business processes to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
• Identify and assess risks, and develop audit plans to mitigate them
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes
• Provide recommendations to management on areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Conduct special audits and investigations as required by management or the board of directors
• Prepare and present audit reports to management and the board of directors
• Stay up-to-date with changing regulations, laws, and industry standards, and apply this knowledge to audit activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Professional certification in auditing, such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
• At least 3 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a similar industry
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian laws and regulations, including the Ethiopian Financial Reporting Proclamation and the Ethiopian Audit Service Corporation regulations
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
