Intern Customs Clearing & Logistics (IRTP)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern Customs Clearing & Logistics to join our team. As an Intern, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of our customs clearing and logistics department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or student to gain hands-on experience in the field and develop their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and submission of customs clearance documents
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth clearance of goods
• Monitor and track shipments, including updating records and reporting any discrepancies
• Assist in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records and files
• Provide support in resolving customs-related issues and queries
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of customs clearing and logistics operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Current student or recent graduate with little to no work experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team
• Basic knowledge of customs regulations and procedures, as well as logistics and transportation principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and adaptability
