Job Summary: Import and Export Assistant Manager

The Import and Export Assistant Manager plays a vital role to ensure the compliance, efficiency and effectiveness of our import and export operation. He/she will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the end to end process of the import and export operation, ensuring optimum efficiency and compliance. Key areas of responsibility include import and export order/contract management, documentation & compliance, logistics & shipment, cost management & optimization, customs clearance & procedures, supplier & customer relations, 3rd party service providers relations, and inventory & supply chain management.
About You
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in import and export operations, with at least 4 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Must have proven working experience in both import and export operations.
Experience in cereals and coffee export operations is desirable.
Applied knowledge of international trade procedures, Incoterms, customs clearance, and shipping documentation.
Subject matter expertise in import and export operational and regulatory requirements.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/ERP systems.
Excellent Witten and oral communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage).
