Job Title: HR Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Ethiopian labor laws and regulations
- Recruit, select, and hire new employees, including scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and making job offers
- Provide orientation and onboarding programs for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the company
- Manage employee data, including maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations
- Handle employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues in a fair and timely manner
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, and improve overall performance
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, pension, and other benefits, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a similar industry or sector
- Knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, including the Labour Proclamation No. 1156/2019
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Certificate in HR management, such as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or a similar qualification, is an added advantage
- Fluency in Amharic and English is required, with knowledge of other local languages being an added advantage
