Job Title: HR Officer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and training. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent
  • Coordinate the hiring process, including scheduling interviews and conducting background checks
  • Develop and implement employee onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
  • Provide support and guidance on employee relations, including conflict resolution and performance management
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including the Ethiopian Labor Law

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • At least 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a similar industry
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, including the Ethiopian Labor Law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Certification in human resources, such as a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or a Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), is an asset
