Job Title: Head – General Service Section

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our General Service Section as the Head. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the section, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of general services to support the organization’s core functions. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the General Service Section to align with the organization’s overall goals and objectives
• Oversee the management of facilities, transportation, and other general services to ensure they are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Supervise and mentor a team of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of general services and support
• Develop and manage budgets for the General Service Section to ensure effective use of resources
• Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of general services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in a general services or operations management position
• Proven track record of leadership and management experience, with a strong ability to motivate and direct staff
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and regulations, as well as international best practices in general services management
• Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications, with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Certification in a relevant field, such as project management or facilities management, is an added advantage
