Job Title: General Foreman/Superintendent

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Foreman/Superintendent to oversee and coordinate our construction projects in Ethiopia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, including planning, execution, and delivery
• Supervise and manage site staff, including foremen, engineers, and laborers
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project outcomes
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project timelines or budgets
• Provide technical guidance and support to site staff as needed
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry in Ethiopia
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Fluency in Amharic and English is required; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to construction sites in Ethiopia
