Job Title: Gender & Inclusion Specialist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gender & Inclusion Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting gender equality and social inclusion in our programs and operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in the area of gender and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to promote gender equality and social inclusion in our programs and operations
• Conduct gender analysis and assessments to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations
• Collaborate with program teams to integrate gender and inclusion considerations into program design and implementation
• Develop and deliver training and capacity-building programs on gender and inclusion for staff and partners
• Establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders to promote gender and inclusion
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of gender and inclusion initiatives and provide regular progress reports

Requirements

• Masters degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, or related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in gender and inclusion programming, preferably in an international development organization
• Strong understanding of gender and inclusion principles and concepts, including Ethiopian laws and policies related to gender equality
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
• Experience in designing and delivering training programs on gender and inclusion
• Familiarity with Ethiopian cultural and social context, with a strong understanding of the local gender and inclusion landscape
