Job Title: Energy Specialist

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our energy-related projects, ensuring that they are implemented efficiently and effectively. The Energy Specialist will work closely with our team to identify and develop new energy solutions, conduct energy audits, and provide recommendations for energy efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify areas of energy inefficiency and provide recommendations for improvement
• Develop and implement energy management plans and strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new energy-related projects and initiatives
• Provide technical expertise and support to ensure that energy-related projects are implemented in accordance with industry best practices and standards
• Monitor and analyze energy usage and trends, identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and cost savings
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in energy technology, and apply this knowledge to improve our energy management practices

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Energy Engineering from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 5 years of experience in energy management, energy auditing, or a related field
• Proven track record of success in implementing energy efficiency projects and initiatives
• Strong knowledge of energy management principles, practices, and technologies
• Experience with energy auditing and assessment tools and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Amharic and English, with strong report writing and presentation skills
• Certification in energy management or a related field is an advantage
