Job Title: Design Team Leader

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Design Team Leader to join our creative team. As a Design Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of designers, overseeing the design process, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions that meet our clients’ needs. You will play a key role in shaping our design strategy, mentoring team members, and driving innovation and excellence in all design projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure the team’s success
• Develop and implement design strategies, concepts, and solutions that meet clients’ needs and exceed their expectations
• Oversee the design process, from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion of projects
• Mentor and coach team members to improve their skills, knowledge, and performance, and provide opportunities for growth and development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure design solutions align with business objectives
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve design processes and outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field from a reputable Ethiopian university, such as Addis Ababa University or Bahir Dar University
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a design leadership role, with a proven track record of success in managing design teams and delivering high-quality design solutions
• Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar design tools
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Strong understanding of design principles, human-centered design, and user experience (UX) design methodologies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and quality
