Job Title: Continuous Improvement Specialist

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Brief Summary

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Specialist to join our team in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify areas for improvement and develop plans to address them
  • Analyze data and processes to determine root causes of issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement process improvements, using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and monitor progress
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of improvements
  • Communicate changes and results to stakeholders, including employees, management, and customers
  • Provide training and coaching to employees on new processes and procedures
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of improvements and identify opportunities for further improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a continuous improvement or process improvement role
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements and achieving results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data analysis software
