Job Title: Consultancy Services to Provide Labour System Impact Assessment on JobTech Ecosystem Interventions

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled consultant to conduct a Labour System Impact Assessment on JobTech ecosystem interventions, focusing on systemic change and youth employment outcomes. The successful candidate will lead a comprehensive study to evaluate the effects of JobTech ecosystem interventions on the labour market, identifying areas of improvement and providing recommendations for future interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a thorough review of existing literature on JobTech ecosystem interventions and their impact on labour markets, with a focus on Ethiopia
• Design and implement a research methodology to assess the impact of JobTech ecosystem interventions on labour market outcomes, particularly for youth employment
• Collect and analyze data from various stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector companies, and youth organizations
• Identify key factors that contribute to the success or failure of JobTech ecosystem interventions in achieving systemic change and improving youth employment outcomes
• Develop a comprehensive report detailing the findings, conclusions, and recommendations for future JobTech ecosystem interventions
• Present the report to stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector companies, and youth organizations

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a relevant field, such as economics, sociology, or international development, from a recognized Ethiopian university or a reputable international institution
• At least 5 years of experience in conducting research and evaluations on labour market issues, preferably with a focus on youth employment and JobTech ecosystem interventions
• Proven expertise in research design, data collection, and data analysis, with experience in using statistical software packages such as SPSS, SPSS, or R
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex research findings to diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with the Ethiopian labour market and JobTech ecosystem, with a strong understanding of the country’s development goals and priorities
• Fluency in English and Amharic, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
