Job Title: Community Mobilizer

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Mobilizer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mobilizing communities, promoting our programs, and fostering partnerships with local stakeholders. The Community Mobilizer will play a key role in raising awareness, building trust, and encouraging community participation in our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community mobilization plans to promote our programs and services
• Build and maintain relationships with local community leaders, stakeholders, and partners
• Organize and facilitate community events, meetings, and training sessions
• Identify and address community needs and concerns, and develop strategies to address them
• Collaborate with other team members to design and implement program activities
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community mobilization efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in community mobilization, outreach, or a related field
• Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with community leaders and stakeholders
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in Amharic and English; knowledge of local languages is an asset
• Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel frequently to rural areas
