Community Engagement Expert (m/f/d)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Engagement Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement strategies to promote our organization’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote our organization’s mission and values
• Build and maintain relationships with local community groups, organizations, and stakeholders
• Organize and facilitate community events, meetings, and workshops to engage the community and promote our organization’s programs and services
• Conduct needs assessments and gather feedback from the community to inform program development and improvement
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure community engagement activities are aligned with organizational goals and objectives
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement strategies and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
• At least 3 years of experience in community engagement, community development, or a related field
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful community engagement strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Fluency in English and Amharic is required; knowledge of other local languages is an asset
• Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
