Community Development Facilitator
Brief Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Development Facilitator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating community development projects that promote social and economic growth, improve living standards, and empower local communities. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct needs assessments and analyze data to identify community development priorities and opportunities
- Develop and implement community development projects, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, and other development partners
- Facilitate training and capacity-building programs for community members, focusing on skills development, entrepreneurship, and leadership
- Mobilize community resources and support to implement projects and achieve development goals
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for future development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or a related field from a recognized Ethiopian university
- At least 3 years of experience in community development, social work, or a related field, with a proven track record of success
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions
- Fluency in Amharic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages
- Ability to work in a team environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration and partnership-building
- Willingness to travel frequently to rural areas, with a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle
