Brief Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cashier to join our dynamic team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions, handling customer payments, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a cash register to process transactions, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and mobile payments
• Manage and balance cash handling, including counting change, handling refunds, and processing discounts
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash register area and surrounding environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and promote a positive store environment
• Stay up-to-date with store policies, procedures, and promotions to provide accurate information to customers

Requirements

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent, with a focus on mathematics and basic accounting principles
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cash handling or customer service role, preferably in a retail environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
• Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate a cash register and other point-of-sale systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Certificate in accounting or a related field from a recognized institution, such as the Ethiopian Institute of Finance and Accounting, is an asset
