Business Trainer and Coach

Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Business Trainer and Coach is responsible for preparing training syllabi and training materials in business creation, business planning, investment, and management. The role focuses on building the next generation of investors.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifies needs based on observable gaps among the youth to be part of the next-generation investors.
Designs training curriculum.
Prepares training materials using a competency-based learning (CBL) framework in generating business ideas, business planning, investment, and business management.
Conducts training based on the action learning method.
Evaluates training outcomes and recommends improvements.
Coaches would be investors (investment advice and guidance).
Performance Metrics (Non-Negotiable):

Training syllabi prepared and materials compiled.
Number of trainees coached and managed to get a clear idea of what to invest in.
Number of trainees coached to complete writing their business plans.
Number of business cases that secured investment finance.
Number of training hours conducted.
Pre- and post-training outcomes.
Participants’ evaluation.
Documentation of training reports.

About You
Required Profile:

Has a second degree in economics, finance, business management, or related disciplines.
Has at least five years of relevant experience preparing training syllabi and materials, delivering business training, and advising and coaching youth.
Has strong communication and training delivery skills in action learning methods in both Amharic and English languages.
Has credible experience in a competency-based learning framework.
Has a practical understanding of investors’ interests and conducts related due diligence.
Is resilient, disciplined, and target driven.
Has experience and belief in teamwork.
